CLARK ISLAND
Clark Island offers 35 acres of uplands, with a total of 176 acres, boasting 15 feet of elevation at the highest point. Building a slightly raised home on this site would give one a 360 degree vista of the surrounding marsh, coastal islands and the Gulf. Privacy would abound, along with a sense of "going back in time." Fishing, hunting and observing nature at its best would be an everyday occurrence.
Imagine setting your own pace with no interference from the outside world. Imagine watching the porpoise play in the moonlight with shimmering phospherous glowing with every droplet of water. Imagine casting from the shore and hauling in a big redfish. Imagine strolling to your own private deer stand, awaiting a glimpse of or a shot at a visiting deer.
Imagine peaceful sunrises and breath-taking sunsets--in your own world.
About one-third of Clark Island has been cleared of underbrush, allowing unhampered use of that part of the island for building a home, lodge or for camping. The remainder of the island has been left in its natural state in order to preserve the ambiance of the area. While there is no electricity a small generator or even a few solar panels will provide more than enough energy for your needs. FRESH WATER! There is now a cold, wet, 4 inch well that produces sweet tasting water in good abundence. A hand pump or electric pump or best of all a windmill pump will give you all the water you need.
